Hello All,
When Bobby and I found out that his company wanted to move us overseas, we were ecstatic! We had been hoping for such an opportunity for our family. As we mulled over the ramifications of this life changing experience, we wanted to find an easy way for our friends and family to keep up with us. Also many people have commented on being interested in watching the transition we will go through and seeing how life will be different from what we know. So we decided to start this blog.
As the chief author of this site, I pondered on what I really wanted to convey here. What would best describe and portray our family in a way that our loved ones could enjoy? Ideas floated around in my head for a while. Then one day, my older son Gabe commented, “We haven’t been on a ‘Mommy Adventure’ in a while. We should go again soon.” And that cemented it.
Since Gabe was an infant, I always made it a point to make sure he had a strong sense of adventure. Life is a wonderland of discovery and I wanted my children to see it, and enjoy it. Sometimes the adventures were big – like visiting Niagara Falls, sometimes medium – like parking the car downtown in the middle of a business day and just wandering, or sometimes small – like taking a walk to the park seeing what you can discover on the way there and back. Always, the adventure includes plenty of discussion about the unique things and people we meet plus hands on experience where we can find it. As he grew, he began to term these times as ‘Mommy Adventures’.
I wish we could fill everyday like that! Unfortunately, these ventures usually revolve around how my health is doing at the moment, so sometimes we go a while before a new one.
Gabe’s innocent question, ignited a determination in me to make sure we are still exploring, still trying, still discussing this experience called life. And not just the big things, like moving to another country! Everyday holds the seed of adventure – the possibility of discovery. The experience of life is the sum total of all the adventures, everyday and once in a lifetime, that a person accumulates AND how it shapes that person. And so, this blog is dedicated to sharing our family’s experiences, the Creasman Experience with all of you.

Yay! So excited to read about your adventures
